XIII SIMPOSIO DE INVESTIGADORES JÓVENES DE LA REAL SOCIEDAD ESPAÑOLA DE QUÍMICA – Logroño

Between November 8th and November 11th, our Ph.D student Rubén Solórzano assisted to the XIII simposio de investigadores jóvenes de la real sociedad española de química, held in Logroño, Spain.

Since its first edition on 2004, the goals of this symposium are fomenting the diffusion of the research of new generations of chemists and favor the interdisciplinary formation of those. This symposium comprises from the basic chemistry research to the latest applications, being a great opportunity for the chemical researchers of both fields. Furthermore, the prices to young researchers Premios de Investigación a Jóvenes Investigadores RSEQ 2016 and  VIII Premios SusChem-JIQ 2016, are given by the Real Sociedad Española de Química (RSEQ) at this symposium.

Rubén gave and oral presentation about his research on Coordination Polymer Particles (CPPs) as multifunctional systems with a potentially wide scope of applications. Among them, in this talk he revised novel strategies for using CPPs in the field of biomedicine, specifically as drug delivery systems.
