Participation at congress – 2nd IC3EM-2016 – Portugal
From september 5th to 8th of 2016, our senior postdoctoral researcher Claudio Roscini assisted to the 2nd Internacional Caparica Conference on Chromogenic and Emissive Materials (2nd IC3EM-2016) at Caparica, Portugal.
The main topics of these conference where new materials with emissive or chromogenic properties. Examples of those materials were showed and proposed for different applications, from the bioimaging to LEDs devices and photovoltaic cells.
At this conference, Claudio Roscini gave a presentation entitled: “Thermally switchable optical systems based on phase change materials“, where he presented how the solid-liquid transition of phase changing materials can be successfully exploited to obtain switchable phosphorescence or upconverting emission properties of organic molecular dyes.
